Development support of in vitro models

We have started supporting drug discovery research based on the technology for inducing differentiation of iPS cells into cardiomyocytes (complete protein-free differentiation induction method), which was the core technology at the time of Myoridge's establishment. Based on our experience, we have expanded our contract items, including the production of cells introduced with various sensor proteins and the development of heart disease models using genome editing technology. We also offer support for the development of in vitro models using MyOridge's unique culture medium optimization technology.

iPS cells-derived cardiomyocytes CarmyA® are high-quality cardiomyocytes produced using a protein-free differentiation induction method using unique compounds. We have achieved a troponin (cTnT) positivity rate of over 90% in various iPS cells using a protein-free myocardial differentiation induction method. CarmyA® is a highly purified cardiomyocyte with mature sarcomere structure and high mitochondrial activity. Furthermore, maturation process we developed increases the expression of genes specific to ventricular muscle, providing improved sensitivity in drug responsiveness such as Ca2+ transients.

Sensor protein introduced cells such as MaLion

An ATP sensor (mito-MaLion) that enables non-invasive live imaging of ATP in mitochondria was developed by Dr. Kitaguchi, Tokyo Institute of Technology, and Dr. Tsuboi, the University of Tokyo. We focused on the usefulness of this sensor protein and generated cardiomyocytes expressing mito-MaLion (CarmyA-mito-MaLion) in a joint research project. CarmyA-mito-MaLion will contribute to drug discovery research and pathological mechanism research. Please contact us for the generation of various cells expressing mito-MaLion other than cardiomyocytes and the use of other sensor proteins.

We receive your cells such as iPS cells, and introduce sensor protein gene into cells using gene editting or plasmid vector. After that we suply cells confirmed fluorescence.
